Sandhurst Royal Military Academy Baptism: Arabella's Baptism at Sandhurst, Surrey

I was very excited to meet be asked to photograph the Baptism of Simone and Alasdair's latest arrival, the lovely Arabella at Sandhurst in Surrey on Easter Sunday.

It was lovely to meet up with the family again as it was almost three years since i photographed the Baptism of Amelie Rose and seven since their wedding!

Working alongside my friend and amazing videographer Barry Weare again was great as we had recorded each major family event since Simone and Alasdair were married at the same Chapel.

Following a lovely ceremony for very close family and friends we moved onto Great Fosters near Egham, Surrey for afternoon tea. Great Fosters was the venue for their wedding reception back in 2005.

Here a couple of images from the day all shot on my Nikon D3s using my 24-70 2.8 zoom and 85mm 1.4 lenses.

Baby Photographer Sussex: Meet Ailla

I was privileged to be asked to take baby Ailla's first professional pictures last week.

Previously i had photographed her big brother Isaac on a few occasions and i was so pleased to see him again for this session.

i chose to work by window light (we have an amazing bay window in the studio precisely for this) and shot wide open on my 24-70 2.8 and 180 2.8 lenses.

Here a few favourite shots and i hope to welcome the guys back very soon.

Sussex Photographer: Jazz Photography

I am currently editing a very exciting shoot commissioned by Neal and Sue Richardson two of the south's leading Jazz musicians.

The brief was to produce publicity and cover style shots together with images depicting them in session with their respective line ups.

They hired out a theatre with the intention of using the lighting to give a "Jazz Club" feel to the images. It was my job to "see the light" and direct the shoot as well as produce some exceptional images that really compliment them talent and style.

Throughout the four hour shoot, i exclusively used my amazing Nikon D3s. The lenses used were my 24-70 2.8, 180 2.8, 85 1.4 and 10.5 fisheye. The only lighting used was the stage lighting in the theatre.

Here are a few of my favourites so far.

Sussex Portrait Photographer: Isabelle's Second Session

I was pleased to welcome back Isabelle and her parents for her second portrait session in the past year.

I always find the difference a few months make to a child amazing. Now fully mobile and with her own terrific personality she was a lot of fun. The first session was at home, but this time we did the photographs in my home studio.

Here are a few favourite images from the shoot.

Sussex Portraits: Samuel

I covered Charlotte and Paul's wedding at Buxted Park Hotel and was thrilled to be asked to photograph their lovely little boy, Samuel.

They bought him along to my studio and we had a lot of fun producing all sorts of images of this lovely little boy.

Here are a few favourite images from the session.

Sussex Portrait: Lucy's Second Session

It was a real pleasure to welcome Lucy (and her parents Tim and Karen of course) for her second portrait session.

I photographer Karen and Tim's wonderful wedding three years ago and had photographed Lucy at their home last year, so the new studio was something different for them.

Using my usual simple lighting set up with my Octobox we had a fun time with the little lady and here are a few favourite shots. I hope the laughter shows in the images!
